Drinking Water Distribution
Course Pack: Distribution System Foundation
Systems and Piping
Course Description
This module describes the four key types of water distribution systems and their design, ways to monitor the system to ensure water quality. In addition, there is discussion on the roles and responsibilities of system operators. Valving requirements are also discussed and how best to design this aspect including pressure and velocity. We will also look at cross connections and how to identify and eliminate any within your system as well as necessary O&M responsibilities as well as how to work safely.
