Course Description
This advanced module provides comprehensive instruction on identifying, evaluating, and safely entering permit-required confined spaces in water and wastewater operations. It covers atmospheric monitoring, ventilation strategies, isolation controls, and the defined roles of entrants, attendants, and supervisors under regulatory requirements. Learners also learn rescue-planning fundamentals, documentation expectations, and post-entry review procedures to support compliance with 29 CFR 1910.146.
Learning Objectives

2) Perform atmospheric monitoring and ventilation strategies.
3) Execute entrant, attendant, and supervisor roles and communications.
4) Integrate rescue planning and non-entry rescue where feasible.
