Course Description
Facilities & Heavy Equipment Safety provides water and wastewater personnel with essential instruction on the safe operation, inspection, and control of heavy equipment used in plant and field environments. The module emphasizes load-chart verification, equipment stability, hazard recognition, signaling practices, and safe maneuvering around utilities and pedestrians to reduce the risk of rollover, struck-by, and pinch-point incidents. Learners learn compliant operating methods and maintenance practices that support safe, reliable, and efficient equipment use.
