Course Description
Treatment Plant Safety provides water and wastewater operators with essential training on identifying and controlling chemical, biological, and physical hazards found in treatment plant environments. The course focuses on safe work practices around basins, clarifiers, chemical storage areas, and mechanical equipment while emphasizing GHS labeling, emergency response procedures, and hazard communication. Learners gain knowledge of LOTO requirements, confined-space considerations, walkway safety, ventilation practices, and emergency equipment use to support safer operations and maintain regulatory compliance.
